Vegetable Lasagna Pasta


Vegetable Lasagna Pasta...(pronounced as Lazaania pasta)

Instructions:

You will need to have following things to make lasagna pasta:

1. Oven ( if oven is not available , you can use double boiler container( lower pot with hot water) and place lasagne bowl (round) on top of it , cover it and cooked it for 20-25 minutes.

2. Baking bowl/casserole

3. Italian seasoning

4. cheese( any type but prefer to stick to what is listed)

5. Lasagna sheets

Ingredients :

For Pasta :

Lasagna Pasta sheet : 8-10

Water - 5-6 cups

Salt - 1 tsp

Oil - 1 tsp

Method :

In large bowl, take 5-6 cups of water, heat it till water come to boil. add pinch of salt and oil

then place lasagna sheet. cook as per the instruction on box.(approx 10-11 minutes)

Then drain all hot water ...take lasagna sheet out and place it on other plate/sheet to cool down.

For three layers :

1st layer : vegetable layer:

Garlic - 2 cloves

Italian seasoning - 2 tsp ( if not available , you can substitute with Oregano herbs)

vegetables - Any vegetables of your choice. carrot, peppers( red,yellow,green),broccoli.

Green chillies -2 ( finely chopped )

salt - 1 tsp

Red chilli flakes - 1 tsp

Method - In large pan , add olive oil, chopped garlic, Italian seasoning,chopped green chillies, all vegetables.

stir fry for 2-3 minutes , add garlic powder,salt and black pepper .

vegetable stir fry is ready.

You can substitute Spinach with vegetables , that is used in authentic vegetable lasagne .

2nd layer : pasta sauce layer

I have used ready made pasta sauce , if you want you can make it at home

Heat the pan, add olive oil, chopped garlic, chopped green chillies , italian seasoning and diced tomatoes, chopped parsly(optional), basil (optional) salt and pepper . cooked it for 7-8 minutes and red pasta sauce is ready.

3rd layer : cheese layer

Ricotta cheese - one cup (substitute with cottage cheese/homemade Paneer)

Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup (easily available in market)

Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup

any kind of cheese will be fine if not available.

Parsley - 2 tbsp (coriander/cilantro)

Green chilies - 1 (chopped finely )

Basil (tulsi) - 1 tbsp (chopped finely )

Salt- pinch

Italian seasoning

Method : In bowl , add ricotta cheese, mixed it with mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese

chopped parsley, green chillies, basil, salt, Italian seasoning, Garlic Powder(optional).

mixed all together.keep it aside.

3rd layer can completely be made with white sauce which is easily available in market

or you can make it at home.

Heat the pan, then add 2 tbsp of butter in it, once the butter starts melting , add 1 tbsp of all purpose flour(maida),then add 1 1/2 cup of milk.stir at the same time when adding milk.make a thick consistency of sauce.add other ingredients same as above except cheese. make sure to have separate layer of cheese on top of every layer later on.

Final method:

Method:

  1. Preheat oven for 350 deg/F or 177 deg/C.

  2. Take baking dish, spray little oil allover ,add red pasta sauce on baking dish .spread it evenly

  3. place lasagna sheet horizontally. now make layers with vegetables and cheese

  4. place lasagne sheet ...carry on with as much as layer you can make.

  5. final layer should be of cheese layer

  6. garnish with chopped olives ( optional)

  7. cover the baking dish with silver foil.

  8. now keep the baking dish in oven , baked it for 60 minutes.

Lasagna Pasta is ready to eat....yummy

This looks little complicated,but once you know the common ingredients, it can become a simple recipe.

I must tell you , your efforts always going to count when you eat first bite of it....simple delicious!!!
