Prawns Pulao


Shrimp Peas Pulao ( Quick and easy)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup green peas(frozen/ fresh)

2 cup long grain or basmati rice soaked in water for about 1 hr

2 cloves

2 Green chillies

2 garlic cloves

1/2 inch ginger

lime juice - 2 tbsp

Onion

Oil

Salt

4 cup warm water

Raw shrimp/prawns : 15 - 20

Marination:

Cariander/cilantro - 1 cup

Green chillies - 4

Pudina /Mint- 6-7 leaves

Garlic 3 - 4 cloves

Ginger - 1/2 inch

Salt

Coconut - optional

Tip : Green chutney can easily available in grocery store.

  1. Grind all together with little water and make a paste.

  2. In small bowl , mix 2 tbsp green paste, shrimp,1 small tsp red chilli powder, pinch of salt and lime juice.

  3. Marinate for 15-20 minutes

  4. you can make this paste , refrigerate it and whenever you want to make this pulao just add this as marination.

  5. Microwave it all for 4 minutes ,set it aside

Method:

  1. In large nonstick skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil, add cloves and finely chopped onion,saute it for 4-5 minutes until onion half cook.

  2. Add coarsely chopped green chillies,garlic,ginger,saute it for few minutes.

  3. Now add peas,Once peas half done add rice, stir for 2-3 minutes..

  4. add 4 cups warm water and salt.let it cook until rice fully done.

  5. Just before serving in bowl .add cooked shrimp with marination, mix well .

  6. add lime juice.

  7. Garnish with cashews and Parsley/ cilantro.

  8. Serve hot.

Total time to cook : 30 minutes
